It's been up and running for a few months now, but today the public was invited to take a look at where patients have their blood filtered.
The company says its Binghamton facility now joins only a handful of nursing homes across the nation that offer dialysis.
"I made sure that we went above and beyond and offered massaged and heated chairs. Dialysis patients tend to be a little bit more chilled, so this is nice for them to sit, and we also have the HD Flat Screen TVs right to the chairs. We make them as comfortable as possible," said Danielle Zastawny, Administrator at the Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
The facility is also open to out-patients.
Bridgewater used today's ribbon-cutting to fund raise for the National Kidney Foundation of Central New York.
