A small private unit on an industrial estate run by couple Louise and Kevin Edgar. She used to work for the NHS but decided to start her own business, doing what she loves, dialysing and helping people. They are a smashing, friendly couple and nothing was too much trouble. I was on my honeymoon when I dialysed there in 2012 and I still think of them and the great service they provided. Would not hesitate to go back if I am ever in the Carlisle area again.

A fantastic unit! Cockermouth is an ideal base for exploring the Lakes, and the care you receive here makes for a great holiday. We've been three times, and will be going back, so give it a go; you won't be disappointed!

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in the Cockermouth area when I re-visited this unit for 4 dialysis sessions. It was like meeting up with old friends & my time at the unit was as much fun as dialysis can ever be! I re-iterate my comments from last year & if any of you are thinking of a holiday in the UK ... take the plunge & give Cockermouth a go! 10 out of 10 for the unit & the area ... kidney failure doesn't have to be all bad!!

I visited this centre for 2 sessions of dialysis in early September 2005 & was very impressed.
The unit is on a business park conveniently situated on the outskirts of Cockermouth. It is a modern complex with an outlook over grass & hedgerows & has the feel & comfort of dialysing in your own front room! The atmosphere is relaxed, yet Louise & Kevin are very efficient & cater for your every need - unobtrusively. I would recommend this centre to everyone & it has the added advantage of its situation on the edge of the North Lakes, one of the most impressive areas of the UK!
