CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital-Memorial has completely renovated its Interventional Radiology suite, and has installed a new state of the art “Philips Interventional Allura Xper-FD 20 Imaging system”. With the new upgraded imaging system, Interventional Radiology now has the new age capability of 3-D vascular imaging, where arterial and venous systems can be viewed in real time. This serves to enhance the diagnostic and interventional treatment of patients with disorders involving Trauma, Neurology, GI, Ortho, Nephrology, Oncology, and OB-GYN. Patients will benefit from the enhanced imaging capabilities that this new system brings to our facility, including additional imaging functions such as cross sectional angiography which are able to assist our Radiologist in precision localization in biopsy procedures, embolizations, and pathology localizations. Finally, the Allura Xper-FD 20 with reduced radiation exposure makes this one of the safest systems in production today.
