In a newly released book, The Princeton Review named Catherine Marrone among “The Best 300 Professors” in the nation. Marrone is a professor of sociology at Stony Brook University. The list was developed in collaboration with RateMyProfessors.com, the highest-trafficked college professor ratings site in the nation.

Suffolk Federal Credit Union in Medford welcomed Jeffrey B. Sherman as a senior relationship manager in business services. Sherman, who has 28 years of financial services experience, was most recently a senior relationship manager at M&T Bank.

Dr. DIlys Audrey Whyte

Dr. Dilys Audrey Whyte joined Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center’s new division of pediatric nephrology. Dr. Whyte, who has more than 10 years of experience in the fields of pediatrics and nephrology, will evaluate pediatric patients with renal disease and hypertension at Good Sam’s center for pediatric specialty care in Babylon.

South Nassau Communities Hospital appointed Mark A. Bogen senior vice president of finance and CFO. A certified public accountant, Bogen joined the team at the Oceanside hospital in 2008 as vice president of finance.

NONPROFITS

Former Suffolk County Legislator Jon Cooper was named to the board of directors of Huntington-based Family Service League. Cooper, whose six consecutive terms as majority leader ended in 2011, is president of Spectronics Corp. in Westbury.
