A NEW unit for kidney dialysis patients has opened at Lings Bar Hospital in Gamston.

The newly refurbished ward has taken on patients who were previously being treated in a temporary unit at the Queen's Medical Centre.

It has more space than the temporary unit and the number of dialysis stations has increased from ten to 12.

Patients will have their own entertainment system, including TV and wi-fi internet access, for use while undergoing treatment.

There is also dedicated parking for patients outside the unit.
